Why is there a fall in the percentage of water in our body as we age?

To date, it is considered that as we age the gradual decline in the total percentage of water in our body is a normal phenomenon, due to the inevitable procedure of aging and the decline in the capacity of theold organism to regulate its water balance.

But is this drop in water levels normal and to what extent can it be affected according to the following nutritional factors?

🔸Daily consumption of dehydrated foods (processed-grilled-dehydrated foods that can bind and absorb water from our body).
🔸Consumption of diuretic products on a daily basis which can dehydrate the body (e.g soft drinks, alcohol, coffee, etc.).
🔸Total lack of consumption of hydrating foods (> 90% in water), which provide stractured water to our cells (mainly fresh fruits and vegetables).
🔸Reduced or excessive water intake, which can also have the opposite effect.
